
In 2021, NESTEC completed the addition of research and development facilities to our headquarters in Eastern Pennsylvania. This included a complete renovation and expansion. The 4,000 square foot facility is equipped with physical model building capabilities, electrostatic testing capabilities, thermal oxidizer testing, prototype building, flow modeling, 3D printing and various features to conduct experiments with air pollution control technologies. Research and development programs are directed by Jim Cash, Technology Director at NESTEC. Jim focuses on creating new and innovative technology and designs to meet the world’s challenge of sustainability.

Jim’s passion for design and engineering has thrived since 1985. He spearheaded the development of 9 APC product lines, secured 20 global patents, and generated over $1.25 billion in sales revenue. At NESTEC’s headquarters in Pen Argyl, PA he established a robust in-house R&D center, fostering innovation. Committed to mentorship, Jim guides emerging engineers and interns (through NESTEC’s internship program) all while staying attuned to cutting-edge technologies. His legacy enriches both our team and the field at large.
