Send VOCs where they belong
Fugitive emissions are a fact of many production processes. When they happen, VOCs cannot be allowed to make their way into the environment, for risk of damaging the local ecosystem and breaking EPA regulations.
Manufacturers must find efficient and effective ways of dealing with VOCs and HAPs that don’t go where they are supposed to, directly into the thermal oxidation process. While capture systems work to halt the escape of fugitive emissions, VOC concentrator systems work to destroy them with precision.
Concentrated Value
Concentrator systems work by taking large volume streams of low-VOC concentration and converting them into much more highly concentrated streams at lower volumes. The process is made possible by temperature change and zeolite material.
Zeolite absorbs the VOCs and then, through a process known as desorption, hot air between 350 and 400 degrees Fahrenheit is streamed through the material, freeing the now-concentrated VOCs and sending them directly into the thermal oxidation process. Because these emissions are more highly concentrated, they create efficiencies in the thermal oxidation process through the production of heat.
NESTEC’s concentrator solutions
Concentrator systems are popular among many industries, including semiconductor, car manufacturing, beverage can manufacturing, printing, painting processes and other applications which produce high-volume, low-VOC-concentration process exhaust gases.
NESTEC’s concentrator systems are seamlessly integrated both mechanically and electrically inside the thermal oxidation processes that require them. The company works closely with a variety of concentrator wheel suppliers to ensure the best possible fit for any application. Whether chosen as part of a brand new installation of a complete thermal oxidation system or an aftermarket solution for VOC and HAP control, NESTEC has placed these units in businesses across industries.
